Quaysnews.net is produced by a team of student journalists at the University of Salford.

The website covers the latest news, sport, entertainment and more from Salford and beyond.

The Quaysnews.net team represent all levels of journalism at the university, from first year undergraduates on the BA in Journalism, through to postgraduate MA in Journalism students.

Built by our web development partners Brighter Design, Quaysnews.net was launched in 2012 to coincide with the official opening of the University of Salford’s new digital teaching and learning environment at MediaCityUK.

The website is one of two key platforms through which news, features and much more will be presented by journalism students.

Our sister platform Quays TV News will broadcast exclusively every Friday from our state-of-the-art studio at MediaCityUK. The weekly bulletins will be available via Quaysnews.net as we aim to provide a unique and distinctive service from tomorrow’s journalists today.
